EPMA is pleased to present the results of its two-year collaboration in the project Agile2Learn.
The result is a new educational approach combining elements of agile pedagogy, agile project management and project-based learning. Those interested in this new method can use the following project results:
Agile2Learn Curriculum
Agile2Learn Online training
Agile2Learn Communities of Practice platform – community platform for sharing best practices and results of the application of the new methodology (with more than 200 active users)
Agile2Learn Exploitation Guide – the handbook to guide potential users on how to apply the results
ABOUT THE TRAINING
Who the training is for:
The training can be used by primary, secondary or higher vocational schools’ teachers and educators interested in innovative approaches in education. In the classroom, teachers can try new ways of working with students – collaboration in smaller teams, coping with uncertainty when students are working with instructions where the outcome is defined but not the way how to reach it, fostering the development of students’ creativity, intensive team communication and evaluation of the results and the way the students worked, trying out roles in the team that are new to students and that can help them discover their hidden talents. This new way of working has also been successfully applied to working with students with learning disabilities. It has increased their engagement, interest in their study topics as it has given them a new perspective on how to work in school and have better results when developing a project and handing in the result.
The training is combined, the theoretical part is about 40 hours, and teachers are provided with model projects (for practical application of the newly gained knowledge) that they can implement with their students during the school year, but with other colleagues when developing a (inter)school project.
In addition to the training, a PLATFORM is created for teachers, educators or other interested stakeholders to share the practical experience of teachers who have gone through the pilot training. Photos and descriptions of activities or projects that teachers from the pilot training have implemented are published here, and it is also possible to use this platform to network with teachers from the 4 project countries (Czech Republic, Germany, Greece and Italy) and beyond, to ask them about their experiences, and to find inspiration for your own work with students.
The training, the methodology in the form of curriculum and the use of the platform are FREE of charge, however, to participate in the training and access to the platform is REQUIRED REGISTRATION. Other deliverables are freely available on our project website.
We would like to thank you to all the teachers who participated in our pilot training and provided valuable feedback to our new methodology and the related outcomes. We would also like to thank to the Vysočina Region and Vysočina Education for their support during the implementation of the project.
