On June 5th and 6th, we had an incredible two days in Belgrade for the third partners meeting of the MyHood project. This event brought together our partners: EPMA, MĚSTO PŘÁTELSKÉ K DĚTEM, DESING CLIPS, Ynternet.org and was hosted by NOVA ISKRA.
During the meeting, we had discussions about the progress and future plans for the project. We focused particularly on developing the MyHood app, also known as the Interactive Online Tool. This tool is one of the most important steps on our mission in the project MyHood – Engaging Youth in Actively Creating a Sustainable and Greener City. It offers extensive teaching resources on climate change, how it affects urban life, and it searches for potential solutions. The purpose is to educate students on the causes, the trajectory, effect prediction, mitigation, and adaptation options of climate change. Our goal is to develop a methodology and a tool for young citizens (aged 13-18) to become active participants in the decision-making process concerning their living environment, climate change, and sustainable cities.
Productive brainstorming sessions were about how to enable youth participants to share creative ideas, work together on suggestions to enhance a particular urban environment, and learn about and assess certain urban settings. MyHood online app encourages young people to get involved in urban planning and decision-making.. ape their urban environments.
Next steps were discussed where we are going to do in depth piloting in all partnering countries.
